Return to Nicholas Mattice III
Nicholas served with the 15th Regiment, Albany Co., Militia during the revolutionary War, 1775-1778. When his father, Johan Nicholas II, left the Colonies as a loyalist for Canada, Nicholas was in the kings Royal Regiment of New York. He was given 200 acres in Bastard Twp, Leeds County Ontario, Near Delta, for his services.
