From Leslie Slater of Lorain, Ohio

Here is a picture and funeral card from my GR-GR-Grandmother Mary (Wright) Mattice.
She was born in 1838, in Lincolnshire, England.

Her father was William Wright.
I don't know when they came over from England.
She was 19 years old in 1857, when she married, Jacob Parson Mattice in Tp. Walpole , Ontario.
They had eight children.
William was the youngest.
Alice Louise, who was the oldest, was my GR-Grandmother.
I haven't found out the names of the six other siblings yet.

Alice Louise married Mark Jansen (year unknown).
They had five children.
Mary, Nina, Belle, Ethel and William Jansen.
At some point, the Jansen Family moved to Akron, Michigan.

William Jansen, who was born 1885. He was my materal grandfather.
In September 1913, he Married Edith S. McCormick in Detriot, Michigan.
I believe Edith was born in Michigan, but I'm not sure.
They had two daughters, Joan who was born between, 1916-17,
and Janet, who was born, 1913.

Janet M. Jansen married Wilfred Veron Todd, between, 1944-45.
They Had five children.
Jo Ann, Geoffrey, Myself (Leslie), Brian and Nancy.
